Tallahassee, Florida, February 2025 – The Apalachee Regional Planning Council (ARPC) has unanimously re-elected Franklin County Commissioner Ricky Jones as Chair of its 25-member Board.
ARPC is one of 10 regional planning councils in the state. Established in 1977, ARPC serves as a collaborative hub of institutional knowledge that allows local governments to pool resources, share expertise, access technical assistance, and develop unified strategies to address complex regional issues. The Apalachee Region proudly serves the counties and municipalities of Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, and Wakulla.
Commissioner Jones was first appointed to the Apalachee Regional Planning Council Board in 2017.
