Students and parents of Altha school were invited to attend “Camp Read A Lot” on Thursday, November 3rd for their annual Literacy Night. Title I supports parent and family engagement, encouraging robust parent and family engagement activities at every Title I school. Families were encouraged to attend this event at Altha School, giving them the opportunity to meet with teachers and learn first- hand the requirements and expectations in reading for all students in grades K-12.
Thank you to the guest speakers Mrs. Katie Kemp and Mrs. Kim Stone, along with her dog Marley. Participation by various clubs at Altha contributed to make our Literacy Night a hit. Mr. Richard Hall and the Altha Middle School FFA Opening and Closing Ceremonies team, Mrs. Tina Smith and Landon Barwick provided music entertainment, and Altha culinary under the guidance of Mrs. Meagan Henson provided a tasty dessert.
