Mrs. Lutonya Everett, of Blountstown, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Blountstown, Florida.
Graveside Homegoing Celebration of Life services were held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Hugh Creek Cemetery in Blountstown, Florida with Superintendent Delano Reed, Doctor C.L. Wilson, and Bishop Adrian Abner officiating.
Mrs. Everett laid in repose at the cemetery from 12:30 PM until time for the service.
A public viewing was held on Thursday, June 21, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family: children, Justice Quamaine Scott, Tiaisha Lataria Godwin, Kenneth Lamar Godwin, Jr., LaTayvion Marquil Godwin, Fredricka LaShay Godwin, Malikk Elijah Everett, Tiara Quamaine Everett, mother, Betty McGriff, father Freddie Peterson, siblings, Lamar Peterson, Andra Peterson, Nedra Peterson, Charina Marlow (Leo), and Keyonna Scott, her loving aunt and guardian, Rosemary Paige, best friend, Akwete Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

WINONA V. MORRIS
Winona V. Morris, age 91, passed away June 5, 2022. Winona was born February 5, 1931, to Homer and Culla Mae Nichols in Clarksville, FL, where she lived her entire life. She was a member of Poplar Head Baptist Church, enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, cooking, baking cakes and pies, but she truly loved her family. Winona is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Morris, and son, Dennis Morris.
Survivors include son, Gary Morris and wife, Sherry of Clarksville, FL; grandson, Tillman Morris of Clarksville, FL; nieces and nephews. Family received friends Friday July 8, 2022, at 10:00 AM (CT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service were held at 11:00 AM (CT) with Rev. Eugene Mullins officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.

JOHN WILLIAM “BILLY” SCOGGINS
John William “Billy” Scoggins, 77 of Bristol, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Tallahassee. Billy was born in Blountstown, February 19, 1945, to the late John Henry and Evelyn Deloris Scoggins, and had lived in Liberty County most of his life. Billy was a devoted family man, and loved his wife Eunice, and his kids, grandkids, and great-grandchild more than anything in this world. He was a man of great respect, honor, and integrity. He worked with McPherson Pest Control for several years before his retirement. Billy was a member of the Lake Mystic Baptist Church, as well as a member of the Apalachicola River Creek Indian Tribal Organization. In his retirement, Billy loved working with his tractor, gardening, and bird watching. He also enjoyed fixing things, and was a true handyman. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Scoggins of Bristol; his daughters, Debbie Walker (Jonathan) of Tallahassee, Tammy Khosla (Kanut) of Lamont, and Shona Gorham (Kevin) of Charlotte, North Carolina; his son, Johnny Scoggins (Ronda) of Toccoa, Georgia; his grandchildren, Megan Moran, James “Jamie” Moran (Annie), Jessica Huckaby, Ashley Bruckerhoff (Ryan), Malcolm Atwell, Jason and Justin Scoggins; one great grandchild, Ty Moran; and his brother-in-law, who was more like a brother, John Burgess of Gainesville.
The family will have a time of visitation 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. CST Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown. A private family committal service will take place at a later time.

Vera Huggins Dudley, 94, of Altha, FL, passed away, July 24, 2022. Vera was born November 8, 1927, in Westville, FL to Curtis and Ettie Belle Huggins. Vera was a homemaker who lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She was a member of the Frist Assembly of God in Blountstown, enjoyed sewing and reading, but truly loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Huggins, and Ettie Bell Huggins; husband, Ira Dudley; brothers, James Huggins, and Bud Huggins.
Vera is survived by sons, Jim Dudley of Altha, FL, Gary Dudley of Mossy Pond Community, FL; daughters, Theresa Sewell and Doug of Clarksville, FL, Angelia Dudley of Gautier, MS; brother, Horace Huggins and Yoshie of Blountstown, FL; sister, Elma Mullins of Blountstown, FL.; 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at 1:00 PM (CT) until service time at 2:00 PM (CT), Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Morris officiating. Private family interment will follow.
